The NorthStar Family Resource Center (NSFRC) has partnered with local Lake City hairstylists to co-host the 2026 Back2School Bash, and the community is invited to help make it a success.
The event will take place on Sunday, August 2, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the gymnasium of the Richardson Community Center, located at 255 NE Coach Anders Lane, Lake City, Florida 32055.
Setting Students Up for a Strong Year
The heart of the Back2School Bash is a simple but powerful goal: making sure every local student walks into the new school year with a backpack full of the supplies they need to succeed. This year, organizers have set an ambitious target of distributing at least 800 backpacks to students across the community.
Beyond backpacks, the event will offer free haircuts, food, and music for everyone in attendance, making it a full afternoon of celebration and community connection just before the school year begins.
